Defying Disaster provides a variety of resources to help insure your safety and survival, when you will need it most:

• 3 to 7 day emergency (G0″) bags for home, work, car and school that include safety information as well as supplies. Available with standard or custom contents
• Up to 30 day household preparedness caches that will provide resources to ensure your family’s basic needs are satisfied at home
• A Basic Preparedness Plan including planning documents, wallet cards, supply rucksack and consultation
• Four Preparedness Programs that offer your household a toolkit of  emergency information and resources including “Go” bags, household supply cache supply lists, completed planning documents including wallet cards, consultation and training. Details are provided below

Emergency kits (“Go” bags) should be supplemented with an organized home supply cache to provide at least a 10 day supply of emergency condition essentials. 3 to 7 day pre-packaged kits supply essential items and information for one person. Customized kits for 1, 2, or more people are designed with each family member’s special needs in mind.

We customize kits to provide for special needs for the elderly, chronically ill, infants, toddlers, and those with sensory or functional deficits.

• Pre-packaged kits  contain:  first aid kit and manual, multiple energy source radio and batteries, head lamp, light sticks, matches, maps, food, water, water disinfection supplies, hygiene and sanitation items, pepper spray, whistle, blanket/tarp, respirators/face masks, poncho, sunscreen, marker, paper, pen, duct tape, refuse bags and cord.
• Customized kits supply upgraded and additional items such as 2-way radios, deluxe first-aid kits, bivvy sacs, NOAA radios, tools, disaster manual, family disaster plan, multi-hazard survival instructions, medical supplies, additional comfort, self-defense and camp-out items.  Customized kits are available in as little as 72 hours.
• Easy-to-carry backpacks, wheeled luggage, bins and other types of carriers are available.
• Kits are priced from $200 to$600+, according to content type, amount, quality and carrier. To help assure your protection, we use only high quality products.
• Multi-Hazard survival instructions and Defying Disaster Wallet Cards ( medical, communication, and reunification information), are included in Customized Kits. These are optional in pre-packaged Kits.
